The 2011 AACA Northern Ohio Chapter’s car show took place at the Patterson
Fruit Farm in Chesterland, Ohio on August 21. It was not exactly held on
the best weather day. In fact it could be considered by some as a “wash it, ring it
out and then wear it another day” kind of day.
Continuous monsoonal rains hindered but did not dampen the spirits of
the participants as at least 110 quality cars lined the show fields.
This year the classic, antique and various un-restored cars lined the
upper show field. Sports cars, trucks and modified vehicles impressed
the back field area.
Many pre-registered cars did not show due to the inclement weather,
but the true die-hard enthusiasts came willingly.
There were a total of 19 classes in addition to three special classes:
Children’s Choice, Patterson Fruit Farm Choice and Best of Show. This
year’s best of show was won by a 1930 Lincoln Sport Roadster owned by
Glen Nau. The Children’s Choice award went to a 1926 Studebaker
Roadster owned by Tom & Joan Barrett and The Patterson award went to a
1961 Plymouth Fury Convertible owned by Chuck Malnosky.
The AACA Northern Ohio Chapter car show is fun place for the whole
family and Patterson Fruit Farm has some of the best pies, pastries
and fruit to offer in the area. The AACA Northern Ohio Chapter looks
forward to seeing you next year on August 19, 2012.
