The AACA national annual meeting held February 5-8 was a great time. This was a different experience for me since I am now on the National Board. My official duties are that of VP of Library & Research Center and Assistant VP of Membership. I was also placed on various committees: Youth Development, Volunteer Recruitment, Event Planning & Development, Training & Development and Scholarship Review. The four day event sped by industriously to say the least. All I can say is that I am grateful for the opportunity and honored to be a part of the best collector car club in the world. I look forward to serving the members to the best of my ability.
It was also good to see a variety of Ohio Region members attend. In fact, Cindy Robish and Danielle Troyer received Master Editor Awards for the Canton Chapter Newsletter and the Spark Plug respectively, Bill Lytle won the Thomas J. Wells Memorial Award whose continued performance has contributed to the success of the judging program, I won the George R. Norton Membership Award for significantly contributing to the development and growth of AACA membership and Jim Vandenberg won a Webmaster Award of Excellence for www.aacanorthernchapter.com web site . You can only get back what you put in and what you experienced at the Annual Meeting. I am looking forward to seeing more of the Ohio Region’s members attending future events.
